About the event
HOEHN is an instrumental duo of two brothers, Samuel and Silvan Kuntz, who've been playing guitar together since childhood — guided by an intuition that only siblings share. Their debut album, MISTRAL, was born from a road trip through the coastal towns of Portugal, and named after the north-westerly wind that carries memories of their childhood summers in the south of France, where they first picked up guitars together.
Samuel, originally a trumpet player, brings a melodic approach to the guitar, while Silvan explores different tunings and textures, layering harmony with percussion. Together, under the name HOEHN — a tribute to their great-grandfather, pianist Alfred Hoehn — they blend classical and jazz guitar technique with a lifetime of writing music side by side.
Expect a journey in sound, the kind that opens up space to simply breathe.
